Kurdish women have been at the forefront of the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, resisting extremist misogynistic groups and building a future where women are free to live their lives how they choose. Braids have become a symbol of resistance, a showing of solidarity with the female fighters particularly during the recent attacks on Rojava.
All proceeds from these prints go to The Lotus Flower who support women and girls in the region.
